Bharinee Chestapanich

Immigration Attorney

Bharinee was born in Thailand.  After earning her law degree at Thammasat University, she began working at PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in Bangkok until 2008.  Then Bharinee transferred to the United States to work at the PricewaterhouseCoopers Milwaukee office in 2008.  The company accomplished that transfer with an L-1 visa.

Bharinee assisted foreign companies and individuals as a lawyer in Thailand.  One of her primary roles was to assist clients navigating Thailand’s Foreign Business Act (“FBA”).

In 2003, Bharinee earned an L.L.M. Degree at the University of Illinois College of Law.  Bharinee entered the United States for this degree with an F-1 visa.  That is where she met the firm’s original founder, and they both graduated in 2004.

In 2010 Bharinee moved to Chicago.  She has been licensed to practice law before the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois, as well as the state courts of New York, since 2014. She has maintained an active immigration practice since 2015.  In October of 2024 Bharinee joined as a member of American Immigration Law Group.

Bharinee’s family maintains an active property development business near Pattaya, Thailand building single family homes for mostly foreign residents. On several occasions Bharinee has assisted United States clients seeking to obtain immigration status to Thailand.
